I bought this rod on a whim. Wanted to try a long rod before investing in an expensive one.
Just unboxed it. It's nicer than I expected for the price. But, it's still a cheap rod. Seems to have a test curve of about 1.5lbs. Also has a through action. Lifting a 1.5lb weight had it bent right to the handle.

Action is lighter than I expected.

I need to invest in a larger reel to balance this heavy rod.

If it chucks 2oz sinkers 50 yards I'll be happy and update the review. If it goes much over 50 yds I'll give it 4 stars.

Nice looking rod, works well with medium feeders and has lots of power. The only down side the threaded part for the swing tip protrudes past the eye of the tip ring, making it difficult to use for anything other than a swing tip.
