DJ06/25/2017, 03:22 AMI recently started Carp fishing and I picked up one of these reels. I gotta say, this thing is awesome! I fish 5-7 times a week and this thing holds its own beautifully! I like it so much I ordered my daughter one! In the last month we have pulled in over 40 fish on them and they work just like the day I got them! The drags are smooth and flawless and the twin handles make them super easy to reel. so far we've caught carp from 1-15lbs on them, catfish and talapia! I will be ordering some 6000's when they are back in stock to fill out a few more larger poles!

Matt11/13/2016, 07:25 AMBeen fishing for many years and I am very happy with the NGT 4000 Dynamic Carp Runner reels. Paired with a NGT CarpMAX 2.75 rod, I feel like the reel is doing a good job. I agree with one of the previous reviewers, that the reel action is a little tight at first. Made with good quality and attention to performance, I would recommend this reel to anyone looking to start out or on a budget. Having the spare spools is great and allows the flexibility for using different mainline. Smooth drag system and great bait-runner features. Good job NGT!

Bob03/31/2016, 04:20 PMI've used this reel multiple times now so I can now share my experience. The build quality of the reel is very nice. Out of the box the reel's operation is a little tight, but after use I'm able to spin the handle hard and the reel continues to spin for almost 4-seconds: it has loosened up nicely. This is a 40 class reel so stuffing 10 ball bearings in it must have been a challenge and the reel is a great size to complement my Grey's Prodigy lightweight feeder rod. The primary spool took 240 yards of 8# Berkeley XL line and the spare spool about 190 yards. I look forward to its long-term reliability.
