CC Moore Cork Dust (75gm / 1 Litre)
This fine cork powder is ideal for use in conjunction with your own base mix to produce buoyant, critically balanced or reduced density hook baits. Simply add it to the desired powders at the dry mixing stage before adding eggs and any additives of your choice. Boil the rolled baits for the usual period required for your mix and leave to dry for 24 hours+. Wafters: To make wafting bottom baits we recommend adding between 5% and 6%. Pop Ups: To make pop ups we recommend adding 12-18% depending on the density of your base mix. When using Cork Dust, which reduces the binding qualities of your mix, it is essential to add some blood plasma or egg albumen to the mix to bind and harden the bait sufficiently. Baits will become more buoyant if they are air dried, but can then be glugged/coated in liquid attractors. This will increase their attraction and reduce their buoyancy.
