CC Moore Trout/Halibut Oil (500ml)
One of the key reasons behind any fish's addiction to trout and halibut pellets is the oil that is incorporated in them. Used as a powerful attractant as well as a concentrated energy source, this oil is the exact same product that is used in the manufacture of the vast majority of expanded pellets used in the aquaculture and bait industries. With a very distinctive oily fish aroma and taste, Trout/Halibut Pellet Oil can be used very effectively on or in most baits, but is more suitable for use during the summer months due to its viscous natural state that makes it semi-solidify in cold conditions. The recommended inclusion level in base mixes is 20-30ml/kg.
Add 150g of Pre-Digested Fish Meal to 500ml of Trout/Halibut Pellet Oil to make a thin, oily solution that is very attractive to all species. Store this in a warm area and soak hook baits and freebies in it for days, weeks or even months to create baits with an appetite-stimulating coat.
This liquid can also be developed into a paste mix by simply increasing the amount of Pre-Digested Fish Meal. In colder conditions swap Trout/Halibut Pellet oil for Tuna L030, adding a little water to thin the liquid if required.
@alternativecatfishingmethods08/16/2020, 11:10 AMIt's not the greatest fish oil but it's certainly not the worst either. I use a lot of fish oil and have tried MANY fish oils here in the states. Very low odor compared with others and the attraction isn't as strong as fish oil but the fish will eat the pellet mix I have coated/soaked it in. Just not as readily as other fish oils.
