In my opinion this is by far the worst rod rest that I tried on. While the quality is high (durable and with metal inlay) it does not hold my Sonic rods at all. The rod simply slides toward the water while the carp is pulling the bait-runner. The material is some kind on non-flexible plasticized rubber as opposed to other Gardner grippers which are made of softer rubber and which hold the rod in place.

Simply, a great rear rod rest. Holds my Nash Pursuit rod wonderfully and securely. Would definitely recommend.

no other choices nothing beats those gripper head , they are actually will grip and hold your rod , must have must buy

These secure my rods without a chance of damaging them. I would highly recommend using these on the back end of banksticks or a pod setup.

Switched from fox duos to these because the duos didnt grip my free spirits. These are great
