Kevin Nash has come up with what we think is the most block busting concept in rod design for decades.

Scope rods feature a retractable butt section, enabling the overall pack down length of your rod to be reduced to the minimum with no detriment to the action of the rod. From this innovative idea, Kevin then experimented with rod lengths, and this is where it got really interesting as he discovered that reducing the length of a carp rod to 9ft made it a dream to use in all situations except at extreme range - and note, we mean extreme range, as our casting king Terry Edmonds has put a lead over 170 yards with a 9ft Scope. Scope Rods are ultra-light, further enhanced by utilising the incredible new SS304 rings. Available in two lengths, the more radical 9ft and the traditional length of 10ft - the length Richard Walker chose for the legendary MK4 carp rod. With its retractable butt innovation this provides a pack down size of 44ins for a 9ft Scope and 50ins for the 10ft Scope, enabling the angler to carry the most compact kit ever designed for carp fishing.

Great rods. got 3.5lbs. Used them for pretty much anything - catfish, carp, salmon, sturgeon, musky. Just amazing and very versatile! Rigged with Shimano Ultegras.

I recently got 3 of these rods in 9ft 3.5tc and absolutely love them so far. I've landed fish up to 32lbs on them with no issues. Definitely recommend.

I have been fishing the Scope 9 ft, 3.25 TC rods exclusively over the past several sessions. They perform every bit as well as my 13 ft 3.25TC rods. I paired the rods up with the Sonik Tournos 6000 reels (the new ones not the baitrunners), spooled with Nash D Cam mono, and have absolutely no regrets getting them. As with all Euro style gear, getting it shipped to the US or getting here, someone has to eat shipping costs. But they aren't made in the US, so you pay extra, I will not go fishing without them. Solid build, performance all the way through, I have had multiple fish to the mid teens on them and they handled all the runs, the fight, and landings with no problems at all. I would like to write this review when I have landed bigger fish. That will come someday. For now, I would absolutely recommend these rods. I mainly purchased them for my stalking setup and fishing the margins. But have since taken them to waters to 25 acres, and can cast them to 80 - 90 yds with ease. No doubt a more experienced caster could achieve better than I. Most all of my fish have been caught with 80 yds of the bank, so they are perfect for all around use as well as stalking. I too have a concern of wear over time. But anything man made is going to experience that.

I've had this rod (9ft 3.0lb) for a couple seasons now. As soon as I got it I noticed how well made it felt. It is my "go to" rod, I use it for all my fishing in spite of owning a 12ft carp rod. I like that It has a telescoping butt, which means that with the 2 peices assembled it can still pack down to about 6ft which means it'll fit in your car. I often leave the rod "rigged" up which means as soon as I get to the bank I'm fishing. My only concern is that the telescoping bit will eventually wear out from sand or any other sort of grit that may get jammed in there over time. It is an expensive rod in the US whether you get it here or order it from abroad as shipping for rods tends to be very expensive. That said, given the right circumstances, I would buy it again.
