You can bad talk NGT all you want but their basic alarms have been extremely reliable for me over the years. I was using the VX1 alarms for about 3 years before I decided to “upgrade” to the Nash Siren S5’s. After maybe 4 months with the Nash alarms one has already started to malfunction. I purchased this set of NGT VS wireless alarms and again, VERY basic, but functional and if they’re anything like the VX1’s they’ll be good to me for at least a few years if not longer. Don’t get me wrong these alarms feel very cheap and your first impression of them may not be the best, but they work great. Highly recommend!

Stepped up to a cheap set with receiver. Works great. Each alarm has different colored light; one red, one blue. Batteries from Amazon are dirt cheap and each alarm takes just one. Receiver takes 3 AAA. Simple but effective and sensitive. In my case being a touch deaf these are loud enough to knock your socks off if that's what you need. Volume and tone controls. Receiver can be vibration. Your choice.

I'm well pleased with these alarms. I've never used any others, so have no reference-point to compare their quality-to-price, but I can't imagine I will ever need any with more function than these have. They've been on the bank for a couple months now about every other day in dry to light rain (no really heavy weather) and continue to work very well. The only unusual thing I do with them is to remove the batteries at then end of each session, as I'm never completely sure that I've set them to OFF.

I got this set and they work great. Bought another alarm and was able to sync it to the receiver so now I have a set of 3 with receiver for around $80.00!

This is a great beginners bite alarm set if your looking for a bit more than the cheapest on the market. I find these to be good entry alarms into the mid range alarms.

Pictures and videos lead me to believe that the alarms were of good quality builds. Once i hade the alarms i. My hands i noticed they were smaller than i expected. Then i noticed the plastic shells didnt feel as strudy as i expected as well. The plastic is hard and light weight. It doesnt feel as sturdy as cheap motorolla walkie talkies. I dont feel confident in dropping these alarms on pavement. I toss my walkie talkies around and drop them all the time, but i dont feel the same about the build quality of these alarms. But this is just my initial review and rundown of the alarms. They might hold up well in poor handling conditions. I wont know until i drop them a few times first.

The function of the alarms work very well. All the button presses are firm and precise. The sounds and lights work very well. The set here comes with 1 red and 1 blue alarm. So if youre planning the purchase matching color hangers thats what your dealing with. The wireless alarm is setup for 4 alarms. The other 2 colors are green anf yellow. There is no frequency or led adjustment on the alarms or wireless alarm. So each color has a seperated constant frequency. So if your friend next to your have the same set of alarms and his red alarm goes off, it will send a red signal to your wireless alarm and well and your friends. Or it might just be some random guy fishing around 100 yards of you with the same alarms. So plan accordingly if someone with you wants to purchase the same ngt vs alarms.

One thing i was curious about and couldnt find any information on, was the sensitivity of the alarm. There is no adjustment for the ngt vs alarms. But in a review of the ngt vx alarms, the reviewer noted that the wheels only had 1 magnet for detection which means the sensitivity was lower than the next alarms up. So with these ngt vs alarms i can confirm to you that there are 2 magnets so in theory the vs alarms are a little more sensitive than the older vx model alarms.

then alarms also comes with rubber o rings around the base screws. which i found to be unnecessary. im guessing these o rings are suppose to keep tensions on the alarms so you can tighten them down into position. i feel that these rings dont hold well enough and still allows the alarms to twist off tok easily. if you over tighten the alarms down, the o rings just squeeze out and do nothing anyways. i ended up removing these o rings. then alarms do come with lock nuts as well. so you can screw on the alarm and losition them. then hold it in place amd screw down the lock nut to tighten the alarm into position.
