Gardner Flexible Rubber Head
Designed primarily as a rear head, but with a small line groove to enable it to be used at the front as well.
The silicone rubber mix ensures that these heads are practically unbreakable in normal use. The Solid Brass stud allows the head to be twisted to align with buzzer bars. Top Tip - Try immersing a Flexible Rubber Head in a cup of boiling water for a minute or two - Be careful! It is easier to leave it attached to the Rod Rest. When hot, the Head can be moulded to the exact width of your rod butt (or an alternative shape). To set the new shape, hold the Head under cold running water for 10 seconds or until the temperature has cooled down to normal.

Michael07/20/2017, 08:05 AMThis rod rest holds my Big Okuma surf rods securely. I recommend this to anyone wanting a rest that will hold larger rods.

Ryan05/02/2015, 02:21 PMI ordered these rod rests because I use use my pod and bank sticks for catfishing as well as carp. My surf rods fit in these rests good. I also carp fish with lighter gear, shimano teramar rods. The cork handles fit these rests just right.
The only problem might be with normal carp rods. These rests would not really grip the slim blank, so rods might slide back if the tips are elevated.
If you go carpin' with regular rods, not proper carp rods, then this rest would work for you.
