Ready Made Leaders

- Available in 1m and 1.5m lengths, and in four colours: Original Camo, Weedy Green, Sandy Gravel and Choddy Silt
- These four dry colours darken down significantly when wet and can therefore be selected to match the lake bed. 
- E-S-P Leadcore is a highly abrasion resistant, extremely supple and leaders are spliced at both ends to give a streamlined joint with maximum breaking strain. 
- The Helicopter Rig is a good all round terminal set up with excellent anti-tangle and fish safety properties. 
- The 1.5m leaders are ideal for short to medium range up to around 60m where the extra length helps to keep more of the terminal set-up anchored firmly along the bottom.

ESP Chod Leaders are designed to be used in conjunction with the incredibly effective chod rig presentation. Made using ESP Leadcore and including Leadcore Stop Beads and the specially designed ESP Chod Rig Sleeve plus a quick change clip link to hold the lead. 

Perfect when used with the ESP ready made chod rig, the top bead is simply removed before sliding the chod rig hook link on and replacing the top bead over the short section of silicone tube. 

This fused leader has integral sections of tungsten to ensure that it stays pinned to the lake bed, and has been designed specifically for fishing any helicopter set-up. It can be used either for conventional hook links fished helicopter style, or for use with chod rigs. It is constructed using components for our Leadcore Chod Safety System to ensure that in the event of your main line breaking, your hook link can easily come free from the lead, thanks to a No Trace bead – two spare beads are supplied – and with a ring swivel to attach your hook link to.

At one end is a fused loop which you attach your main line to, and at the other is a Kwik Link to allow you to add any lead that you want to use, and this is covered with a Helicopter Sleeve for a neat finish which helps to prevent tangles. 

These 1m long leaders are very abrasion resistant with a breaking strain of 30lb and can easily be matched to the type of bottom you’re fishing over as there is a choice of Clear, Weed, Gravel, Silt or Clay colours. You get one leader in a pack.  

These Dark Matters leaders incorporate our Heli-Safe System and can be fished with any helicopter style set-up, whether that be a conventional hook link or a chod rig. This leader has tungsten collars impregnated into it, to ensure it stays pinned to the bottom. It also incorporates the Chod Safe System which ensures that your hook link can come free of the leader in the event of your main line breaking, and your hook link can be easily attached via a QC Ring Swivel.

The DM Heli-Safe Leader comes in a choice of 1m or 50cm lengths, which gives you enough space to move the top bead well up it, such as when fishing it in deeper silt or weed, so as to ensure your presentation is good when using the longer version. Some venues now have rules restricting the maximum length of your leader, and that is where the 50cm version could come into play – it is also great when fishing at long range as it will cast further.

The other end of this leader has a fused loop, which your main line can either be tied to, or to allow the leader to easily be taken off, the loop-to-loop method is best. We have now added a Hybrid Lead Clip QC version to our popular range of Dark Matter fused leaders, to allow you to quickly change your hook link in as hassle-free a way as possible, whenever you choose to.

At one they feature a Hybrid Lead Clip QC fused onto the leader and complete with a Hybrid Tail Rubber, and at the other end there is a fused loop for easy attachment to your main line – loop-to-loop style works great and makes it easy to change leader when you wish to, without having to cut or tie anything.

The Dark Matter QC Swivel Leader is particularly suited to fishing with inline leads, standard Lead Clips or running rigs. At one end there is a size 8 QC Swivel fused onto a loop, which neatly fits into an inline lead and makes it very quick and easy to change hook link, and at the other is a fused loop which your main line is attached to – loop-to-loop style is easiest if you want to take your leader off. It pins everything to the lake bed thanks to the tungsten collars that are fused into the 30lb breaking strain leader. 

It comes in a choice of 30cm or 50cm long leaders. All are available in a choice of clear, weed or gravel colours. You get one leader per pack.

These ready-tied Kable leadcore leaders are as good as anything that you can construct yourself and save you the time, effort, and any element of doubt that you’ve done it correctly. The only decision you have to make, is what length leader suits the type of fishing situation as the leaders are available in 1m and 50cm long versions.

Each leader is constructed from our incredibly tough and fast-sinking Kable leadcore, with a Hybrid Lead Clip spliced to one end of it and a spliced loop at the other end so that it can quickly be attached and detached from your main line as required. 

Simply attach the leader to your main line, your hook link to the other end, put a lead on, and you’re ready to cast out! Each pack contains three Kable Hybrid Lead Clip Leaders, in a choice of Weed/Silt or Gravel Brown colours.
